PSG’s pursuit of Lucas Chevalier hits stumbling block

Lucas Chevalier (23) has already agreed to a five-year contract with reigning Ligue 1 and UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain. However, the negotiations of the Capital Club with Lille OSC are stuck.

According to a report from L'équipe, Lille PSG warned during negotiations that they would only punish a departure for the French international if they had signed his replacement. The club would like to avoid a similar scenario when Mike Maignan left for AC Milan, in which Léo Jardim and Ivo Grbić do not fill the void.

Lille has achieved several approaches in recent days, but seems to have missed Robin Roefs (22), which comes close to Sunderland AFC. It is said that the Dutch U21 was not at the top of the shortlist of Lille, including Toulouse FC's Guillaume Restes, Olympique de Marseille's Jeffrey de Lange and Tottenham Hotspur's Antonín Kinský.
