Ajax is said to lower their demands to compromise with Chelsea in negotiations about star defender Jorrel Hato.
According to De Telegraaf, Ajax has reduced their requirements of € 55- € 60 million to the consideration of a package worth € 43- € 45 million. Director Alex Kroes currently holds a minimum costs of € 50 million, but is willing to accept less.
Ajax fears that no other club will offer at least € 40 million for Hato in the later stages of the transfer market, and the club wants to do justice by Hato, which prefer a move to the blues.
In the meantime, Chelsea refuses to admit and go up from their € 41 million offer, which followed directly on their opening offer of € 40 million.
Hato and Chelsea reportedly reached a personal agreement last week. The left defender agreed to sign an 8-year contract in London.
The 19-year-old Jorrel Hato is under contract with Ajax until 2028.
