Arsenal has put Crystal Palace and England star Ebereechi at the top of their shopping list after closing a deal for Viktor Gyokeres, but there are a number of roadblocks for a deal
An agreement with the former club of Ebereechi Eze has caused another headache for Arsenal while Mikel Arteta continues to chase the England International. The Gunners want the Crystal Palace star to be their next Big Money addition of the summer transfer window.
He is seen as the perfect candidate to further strengthen their broad options after the lucrative arrivals of Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke. A deal can be seen as relatively simple, given the presence of a release clause of £ 67.5 million in its Crystal Palace deal.
And although Arsenal should get the money together to pay for that compensation – with the Guardian who reports that the Eagles want the vast majority of that amount to be paid in advance – there is a further reservation due to a second clause in the Eze deal.
Eze's former Club Queens Park Rangers retain a clause of 15 percent. That would give the side of London entitled to 15 percent of every profit that Palace makes on Eze, who, in view of them, signed him for slightly less than £ 20 million, QPR could land slightly less than £ 7.5 million if a switch to the Emirates were to go.
Eze has left his contract with Palace for two more years. Eagles Baas Oliver Glasner has already spoken about possible sale – and has urged the club hierarchy to get stuck with the most important players of Palace prior to a European campaign.
“Although all players are still here, we have not taken the best out of the transfer window so far,” Glasner admitted. “I was promised that we would be more active and bring in the new players earlier this year.
“From now on I have 17 Outfield players. I hope we won't lose anymore. If that happens and we get four new ones on the Deadline day like last year, a different false start is possible.”
In the meantime, Palace, chairman Steve Parish, claimed last year that he was shocked that the club could keep Eze. He said: “I was really worried from Club's point of view to lose Michael [Olise] And ebb in the same window and we didn't have the interest I thought we would have in Ebbs.

“I was surprised. Really surprised. I mean, the man is just an excellent football player, an excellent person.”
Away from Eze, Palace is also the interest in star defender Marc Guehi, who admires Liverpool. But as it looks now, the Reds focus on an attempt to close a deal for Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.
