Benjamin Sesko has emerged as the number one choice of Manchester United for their central striker vacancy, but the RB Leipzig -Man does not receive a dream welcome when he arrives in Old Trafford
Benjamin Sesko may have an uncomfortable chat in Manchester United when he arrives in Old Trafford. The RB Leipzig striker has come forward for the rest of the summer as an important target for the Red Devils.
United wants to add a new striker this summer this summer after a terrible campaign previous term. Aston Villas Ollie Watkins had emerged as a target, but the club's attention is now used to the Slovenian.
It has been reported that United may have to pay around £ 75 million (£ 64.6 million) to convince Leipzig to sell Sesko in the coming months. And if they match a price, it seems that their chances of closing a deal are positive, since Sesko is impressed by the club's attempts to sign it.
But although the signs are positive as it looks now, there may be a light bump in the road as soon as Sesko arrives in Old Trafford when it comes to his team number. The 22-year-old attracted the number 30 during his time at both his former club Red Bull Salzburg and his current employers RB Leipzig.
And although the figure would usually be available in view of its unconventional nature, it is already occupied by another signing of the summer. Young defender Diego Leon is the current resident after his arrival from Cerro Toreno.
That would give Sesko a dilemma about the song he chooses to wear at Old Trafford. He has carried the number 25 and 11 on the international front and as it looks now, both are housed by Manuel Ugarte and Joshua Zirkzee respectively.
Another option may be the number nine shirt, the number that was worn by Sesko's Held Zlatan Ibrahimovic in Old Trafford. Speaking of the Swede, the striker said: 'Zlatan Ibrahimovic was my idol.
“I am not saying that I play as him, but he had fun, enjoyed it, did what he wanted to do. It really makes me happy when I see that kind of player. Every video I could find, I watched him.”
And although that can be an option for Sesko, a few things have to happen first. The figure is currently occupied by Rasmus Hojlund, which is connected to a relocation of Old Trafford.

But a switch is still gone and if he stays in the club, it seems very likely that he will retain the number for the near future. In the meantime, conversations between United and Leipzig will continue.
Sesko enjoyed a sensational season for Leipzig last season. He scored 21 goals in all matches for the German side.
