Joao Felix has difficulty realizing his promise, but during his career has drawn a number of important reimbursements to Al Nassr the last to make his services considerably
Joao Felix completed his latest mega money transfer earlier this week, making it the fourth most expensive player ever. The Portugual International came to Al Nassr from Chelsea in a deal that could rise to £ 43.7 million.
The Saudi side has a first £ 26 million edition for the attacker, but the Blues look to scrape their money back after signing the 25-year-old in a £ 45 million deal less than 12 months ago. Felix was unable to break into the plans of Enzo Maresca after his signing was used to facilitate the transfer from Conor Gallagher to Atletico Madrid.
The former Benfica star signed a seven-year contract on Stamford Bridge, but noticed after only a matter of months on loan to AC Milan. Felix failed to include a significant impact in the Serie A and only scored in his last two games for the club.
But a difficult year did not prevent Nassr from the money to add Felix to a team that already includes Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane. And his last step took the total costs of Felix in the £ 200 million region after Atletico Madrid had spent £ 113 million to the attacker when he was only 19.
It is a status that perhaps the place of Felix is involved, especially with what was expected from the ex-Chelsea Ace a few years ago. But who joins him among the most expensive players in the roy? Mirror Football takes a look.
5. Ousmane Dembele – £ 189.97m
The Frenchman seemed to be another player who did not live up to his reimbursements, but after a stint in Barcelona disrupted by injury, Dembele is now a balloon d'Or Competier at Paris Saint-Germain. It took Dembele only three transfers to pick up a number of large editions of some of the world's largest clubs with Barcelona that paid the bulk.
The Catalan side spent £ 116.57 million on Dembele from Borussia Dortmund, because the German side made a big profit with Stade Rennais £ 30.22 million for his services. Dembele's exit from Barca then came for £ 43.17 million.
4. Joao Felix – £ 194.89m
There is little to say about the figures spent on Felix, but in just 25 there is still time for him to climb the list.
3. Cristiano Ronaldo – £ 213.28m
A player where the figures issued match that he is one of the best players of all time. While Manchester United succeeded in paying less than £ 15 million on every occasion, they signed the Portugal legend and Al Nassr landed the veteran for free – Real Madrid and Juventus had to say goodbye to some important amounts.
Los Blancos was forced to renounce £ 81.17 million to bring Ronaldo to the Bernabeu from Old Trafford in an over -group transfer. After four Champions League wins, two La Liga titles and winning four of his five balloon d'Ors in Spain, Juventus then spent £ 101.03 million in 2018 when Ronaldo was 33.
2. Romelu Lukaku – £ 318.82m (nine transfers)
The Belgian striker has delivered a combination of important transfers and many of them on their way to see more than £ 300 million for his services. Lukaka has been a man throughout his career after Chelsea signed him for £ 12.95 million in 2011, when he was only 18.
Everton, Manchester United, Inter Milan, Chelsea (again) and Napoli have all signed permanent Lukaku, with the Stamford Bridge side that saw the most important expenditures when they paid £ 97.5 million to seal his return. However, that movement never succeeded when he moved to Inter and Roma on loan before he earned a move from the club.
1. Neymar JR – £ 345.39m
Neymar only needs three transfers to be at the top of the list and it is quite an explanation when the cheapest paid reimbursement was more than £ 70 million. Barcelona spent considerably to sign the Brazilian star of Santos while helping the club with the successes of Champions League and La Liga before they finally got almost £ 200 million from PSG.
Neymar was very successful in the French capital, but did not succeed in finding European glory or reaching a balloon d'Or that ultimately left both parties with mixed feelings. It is unlikely that they feel just as frustrated as Hilal who said goodbye of £ 75 million for the attacker, but eventually ended his contract after he had spent most of his time with the injured club.
