Nottingham Forest is pleased to confirm the signing of Dan Ndoye, which has signed a five -year -old deal.
The Swiss International comes from Bologna, where he played 75 times for the Serie A side that had joined the summer of 2023. The 2024/25 season was a particularly successful year, with Ndoye scored the only goal in the Coppa Italia final to earn Bologna's first major trophy in more than 50 years.
The 24-year-old also played in the eight Champions League matches of the Italian side, with 41 games in the entire season and scored nine times. His impressive record last season was not only as a target scorer, but as a creative playmaker. Ndoye registered 6 assists and his impressive ball -bearing statistics were improved by only five players in the Serie A in 2024/25.
Known for his creativity, direct playing style, versatility and speed, Ndoye arrives at Trentside with important experience for a player of his age. Ndoye, born in Nyon, Switzerland, joined the Lausanne-Sport Academy at a young age and worked his way up through the academy before making his professional debut as an 18-year-old.
After spending time in France with Nice, Ndoye made a permanent switch back to his home country when he signed for Basel in February 2022 after a successful loan saying with the 20-time Swiss champions.
His shape for Basel caught the attention of Bologna, where he spent the last two seasons.
Ndoye made his international debut in 2022 and made 22 caps for his country, including five in Euro 2024, where he started every match in the route from Switzerland to the quarterfinals and scored a crucial group stage against Germany.
Everyone at the club would like to congratulate while we welcome him to the forest family.
When signing for the club, Ndoye said: “I am very happy that I signed for the club. It is really an exciting time at Forest and I immediately knew that I wanted to be part of the project. It is a really ambitious team with a fantastic history and I can't wait to start.”
Chief Football Officer, Ross Wilson, added: “Then an exciting new addition to our team and a player that we have followed extensively for a long period. We are delighted that he joins Nottingham Forest and continues his own ambitious journey with us here.”
