Ilia Topuria has many options for his first UFC light weight defending defense, but there is in particular one candidate that he does not want to fight categorically.
After he had beaten Charles Oliveira Cold in the UFC 317 Main Event to win the empty lightweight title, Ilia Topuria again showed why he is the largest current star of the sport.
Immediately after his title victory, 'El Matador' was confronted with his potential opponent when Paddy Pimblett stormed the cage and had an improvised face with the Spaniard.
Nevertheless, UFC boss Dana White gave cold water to that potential fight after the event, so the face was not fun for the face that was entered by Joe Rogan.

UFC Insider claims that the first lightweight title defense of Topuria is 'ready'
Also waiting in line for an undisputed lightweight title shot are old contenders Arman Tsarukyan and Justin Gaethje, who are both in a better place than 'The Baddy'.
However, White also cut their chances in fighting for the title of the title, because he encouraged Gaethje to retire after his 'crazy' pension Ultimatum, and Tsarukyan told that he still has a way to go before he gets a title shot.
Not only that, but 'Ahalkalakets' opportunities in fighting for the title, then took an even bigger hit when Topuria recently claimed that he would rather leave his title than against the Armenian fighting.
Despite the shocking explanation of 'El Matador, which has been closed by fans and former hunters, UFC -Sinsider Chael has claimed that Topuria vs Tsarukyan is' ready' and will then happen.
“I will officially give you some of the worst kept secret matchups in MMA at the moment, Ilia Topuria is fighting Arman Tsarukyan and yes, I say that,” Sonen said on his YouTube channel.
“That fight was done, only so that you understand … He doesn't deny the fight, he has his approach he found to build battles,” Sonnen went on.
The UFC legend further hint that the fight will take place in the T-Mobile Arena in December, which would stand in line with the plans of Topuria to return.
Tsarukyan goes in Topuria in the latest expletive anger
Although Sonen may be right and Topuria just plays a game to build a potential fight against Tsarukyan, the Armenian does not know that this is the case and keeps expressing his frustration with the Spaniard.
“Who wants to let Ilia know that he is not (Conor) McGregor, and that he makes all the champion look bad – champions fight the number one competition,” Tsarukyan said in a recent message about X.
“But this is the same man who thinks he is the 'BMF', how do you say P — in Spanish?” he added.
