Daniel Cormier slams the UFC’s treatment of Arman Tsarukyan as he supports his claim for a title shot

Despite his role in the UFC, former champion Daniel Cormier closed the treatment through the promotion of Arman Tsarukyan while the lightweight Titelsaga continues.

Last June Ilia Topuria continued his climb as the biggest star of the sport when he eliminated Charles Oliveira in the Main Event of UFC 317 to become the lightweight champion.

Since then there has been some saga, because there are various lightweight contenders who have thrown their names in the hat to compete against 'El Matador'.

Former interim light weight champion Justin Gaethje even went so far that he claimed that he will retire if he does not get the next title shot. But in the eyes of many fans, Arman Tsarukyan is by far the most worthy competition.

Cormier Slams Slams UFC's treatment from Tsarukyan

Although 'Ahalkalakets' is considered by many the rightful number one of the number one, UFC boss Dana White stated that he would not fight next to the title, even though he has weighed the backup on UFC 317.

And it got worse for Tsarukyan when Topuria claimed that he would rather leave his title than to fight the Armenian next.

With the chances of the 28-year-old to fight for the undisputed title that apparently decreases day after day, he is surprisingly supported by UFC legend and now Commentator, Daniel Cormier.

“I am not saying that Arman Tsarukyan is this guy who constantly comes and does not get on the scales or gets the fight, it happened once, he should not only be assessed that one time, especially after having weight and preparing himself as a backup hunter in the last fight,” said Cormier on his YouTube-Kanaal.

“I just try to give a little grace on the other side with regard to why that can happen. At the end of the day I agree with (the fans), it should be Arman vs ilia and I don't think there is a question about that, but I think the problem with it is the lasting memory of (topuria) and paddy pimon after passing.”

UFC Insider claims that Topuria vs Tsarukyan has been booked

With fans and now Cormier who calls for Tsarukyan to be the next competition, calls the Front Office of the UFC.

According to Insider, Chael Sonnen, Topuria vs Tsarukyan was officially booked to take place from the T-Mobile Arena in December, in what would be a huge turn of events.
