Max Holloway reveals disappointing UFC return timeline as he suffers brutal injury setback

UFC fans may have to wait a little longer than they had hoped for the return of BMF champion Max Holloway.

Only a few weeks ago Max Holloway again showed why he was one of the most exciting hunters on the UFC schedule when he dominated Dustin Poirier in the Main Event of UFC 318.

With his victory in Louisiana made Holloway UFC history and was successfully defended the first hunter to defend the BMF title, which was held by Jorge Masvidal and Justin Gaethje.

And after his impressive performance, 'Blessed' called for a rematch against the recently crowned lightweight champion Ilia Topuria, hoping that his history with the Spaniard could push him to the front of the queue.

Holloway offers a return time line while he reveals devastating injury

The lightweight division goes somewhat through a titlesaga, where there are several contenders who believe that they have to fight next to the title.

Former interim champion Justin Gaethje believes that he is the rightful competition and even claimed that he will retire from the sport if he does not get the next title shot.

Nevertheless, Arman Tsarukyan is supported by many as the rightful number one competition, but his chances of fighting for the title seem slim, given the attitude of Dana White about his recent accidents with career.

After UFC 318, however, Holloway seemed to be in such a good position and after the event he climbed in the top three of the 155 pound ranks.

Unfortunately, however, the former UFC -Fedweight champion has provided a timeline update and revealed that he has sustained an injury.

“My right hand still hurts,” said Holloway in a video on his YouTube channel.

“If you hope I fight before the end of the year, it will probably not happen. I will see a specialist this week and I have already met my doctor and now I have to meet a specialist, but it is not looking for me who is fighting again this year.

“What the next step is, I couldn't tell you, this stupid injury pushed things back,” Holloway continued as he showed an wounded right hand.
