Bruno Fernandes rejected a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia earlier this summer, but he now has a new chance to leave in a movement that will see him connect with former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo
Bruno Fernandes has a new interest from Saudi Arabia, with Al-Nassr the newest club to show interest in the captain of Manchester United. The Portuguese midfielder was previously connected to a move to the middle -east earlier this summer.
Al-Hilal had submitted a lucrative range of Fernandes that would have seen him banking around € 70 million (£ 61 million) per year. The Saudi side was also willing to offer United € 120 million (£ 104.7 million) for their star -midfielder.
Fernandes, however, decided to reject that interest and stay with Old Trafford, with two more years about his current deal. But the Portuguese playmaker now has a new chance to leave after renewed interest in the middle.
According to Portuguese exhaust a Bola, Al-Nassr is interested in a movement for Fernandes. Manager Jorge Jesus leads the interest of the club who has worked with the midfielder at former club Sporting Lisbon.
It has been reported that early conversations have taken place, where Al-Nassr would like to know if Fernandes would be open to a movement. If he pursued the switch, the United Star would join the countrymen Cristiano Ronaldo and Joao Felix – the last to complete a movement that could be worth £ 43.7 million earlier this summer.
As it looks now, Fernandes did not spoke about the new interest in his services, but after he had rejected a switch to Al-Hilal, the attitude of United was the key in his call to stay.
“I will answer and I asked you no longer ask me,” said Fernandes. “There was that possibility, the president of Al Hilal called me a month ago to ask me about it. There was a waiting time for me to think about the future.
“Like I always said, I would be willing to do it as Manchester United that thought. I spoke with coach Ruben Amorim who was very annoying during that period. The club said they would not be willing to sell me, only if I wanted to leave.”

“It was a very ambitious proposal,” he added. “The president was a fantastic person, we never discussed the amount [initially]. With my agent of course. Then I spoke with my wife and family and she asked me what my personal goals were in my career.
“It was an easy move, even at family level … I had Joao Cancelo there, my children are used to playing with him in the national team. We have a great friendship. But I want to maintain myself at the highest level, play in the big competitions. And I feel capable of.”
