Liverpool exit to take summer transfer sales to £146m to help fund signings

Liverpool could soon see a boost for their transfer funds for Baas Arne Slot after they agreed to graduate this summer from the Academy -graduated midfielder Morton to Lyon

Liverpool will see their transfer spot supplement even further after agreeing a £ 15 million deal to sell Tyler Morton to Lyon. The midfielder seems to be on his way to Lyon after a package with a clause of 20 percent sale was considered worthy of the player's exit.

Morton, 22, England helped the European championships under 21 this summer to win and was linked to the city of Ipswich, but nobody has matched Lyon's offer. The Academy graduated is present in Arne Slot in the preseason plans, but does not have a Premier League appearance among the Dutchman in the past term.

The departure will continue with a summer that has seen a number of anfield outputs while Liverpool brings in reimbursements to deliver their considerable expenses. The Reds have already achieved £ 65 million for Luis Diaz from Bayern Munich, £ 35 million from Bayer Leverkusen for Jarell Quansah, £ 18 million for Caoimhin Kelleher, £ 10 million for Trent Alexander-Arnold and £ 3m for Nat Phillips.

The sale of Morton will bring Liverpool's income to £ 146 million. A considerable amount, albeit the shortage of the £ 150 million that it has been recommended that Newcastle may be required for Sterrent striker Alexander Isak.

Nevertheless, this year, after only Federico Chiesa arrived last summer, Liverpool splashes the money this year and the departure will be a way to compensate for their expenses – especially with regard to the Premier League profit and sustainability rules. The Reds have already made in the £ 330 million region in signing sessions and more work must be done.

Although Slot has indicated that Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo could appear in the middle of the defense, it would be no surprise if Liverpool moved to a new defender. With Joe Gomez from injury, the Dutch coach has only two senior center and halves in Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate at his disposal.

The Merseyside Club has indicated that they will not return with another offer for Newcastle Forward Isak, after an £ 110 million bid has been rejected. But every boost to their transfer fund helps negotiators if they are encouraged to return for the Sweden International.

Isak has only trained in Sociedad while the pre-season Tour of Newcastle continues through Asia. The 25-year-old is expected to join the team again next week.

“I know where he is, really, through the media,” said Magpies -Baas Eddie Howe in a press conference in Seoul. “From that perspective, it is difficult for me to go in any form of detail. The situation is far from ideal and is quite complex.”

“I was informed of an offer yesterday (Friday) and that bid was rejected, all before I even heard about it,” he added.

“People back in England are dealing with the situation. I don't know what happens next. From our perspective we still support Alex in every possible way and my wish is that we see him again in a Newcastle shirt.”
