Austin Bashi is a 23-year prospect in featherweight that came unbeaten to the UFC.
Bashi bounced back from a decision loss for Christian Rodriguez in his UFC debut in January with a stunning first round entry from John Yannis on UFC Vegas 108.
Bashi took Yannis for 45 seconds in the opening round and worked his way to the back where he insured a coded choke, even after Yannis stood up.
Recent featherweight title Challenger Diego Lopes shouted his training partner after his first UFC victory.

Bashi helped Lopes to prepare for Alexander Volkanovski in his last fight on UFC 314, with the style of the featherweight champion in training sessions.

Austin Bashi was given a new nickname after the first UFC victory
Bashi improved until 14-1 as a pro with the standing second-hand choke.
The top perspective is known for its struggling and dominates many of his opponents on the regional scene with his struggle pressure.
After his ninth stop win, Omroep Karyn Bryant suggested a nickname for Bashi because he doesn't have one at the moment.
“Smashy,” Bryant suggested.
Time will learn whether Austin 'Smashy' Bashi Sticks.
