The 21-year-old Germany International had undergone a successful operation, the club said in a statement on Saturday without giving a timeline on his return.
Bayern is already without a playmaker Jamal Musiala, who last month sustained a Fibula fracture with a broken and disrupted only at the club World Cup, while Left Back Alphonso Davies is out because of an ACL tear.
Bayern plays VFB Stuttgart in the German Super Cup final on August 16 before they started their Bundesliga title defense against RB Leipzig, six days later at home.
