Niclas Fullkrug and Jarrod Bowen were on goal when West Ham Bournemouth defeated 2-0 in Atlanta to guarantee second place in the Premier League Summer Series.
Fullkrug succeeded his winning goal against Everton on Wednesday with a close-range opener after Bowen had shown impressive calmness to go up after a cross by El Hadji Malick Diouf.
Summer Signing Diouf still produced a nice delivery for the second goal of West Ham, allowing Bowen to guide a low finish in the far corner past Bournemouth goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic.
Bournemouth started the game strongly when they looked back on Thursday from their 4-1 loss to Manchester United, but missed a glorious early chance when Evanilson hit the inside of the pole from a few meters with the goal.
The opener of Fullkrug punished that Miss later in the first half and Bournemouth was again refused by the woodwork when Illia Zabarnyi sent a free header against the bottom of the bar.
The victory never looked in doubt for West Ham after their escape second goal, so that they were set at six points of their three games, behind Manchester United on target difference while Ruben Amorim's side is preparing for Everton in the last match of the tournament.
