One UFC Vegas 108 winner thinks he earns some extra money for his efforts.
The UFC Fight Night event on Saturday in the Apex was missing on biggravend names, but those in action still delivered the goods in the Octagon.
From fast finishes to memorable three-round fights, UFC Vegas 108 had enough to entertain the fans on a map with Tatsuro Taira's victory over Hyun Sung Park via entry.
The two lightweight attacks that formed the scene for the headliner were both among the best leftovers of the year to date, and which the UFC left behind both of those battles of the night scenery.
But that resulted in no performance checks, much to Victor's dismay.
Rinya Nakamura asks Dana White for UFC Vegas 108 Bonus snub
The UFC Vegas 108 Provisional Map ended with a Bantamweight collision between Road to UFC season One winner Rinya Nakamura and Nathan Fletcher from Liverpool.
It was a tough night for Paddy Pimblett's teammate, who was stopped in just 62 seconds after being caught with a devastating kick to the liver that folded him.
The display of Nakamura was probably a shoo-in for the execution of the night for two attacks later on the map De Limelight.
'Hybrid' was not happy to miss and he accepted his complaints at UFC CEO Dana White.
“1 minute. No damage. All things in Las Vegas,” wrote Nakamura on X. “Where is my bonus @danawhite?”
Rinya Nakamura does not hunt knockouts despite fast UFC Vegas 108 -Finish
Given how quickly he packed things at the UFC Apex on 3 August, it would be forgiven to you because you think Nakamura enters the cage with a fast night in the office in mind.
The prospect said that the hunt for knockouts eventually led to his downfall against Muin Gemarov last January at UFC 311, an event characterized by the deficiency defense of Islam Makhachev against Renato Moicano.
With that in mind, although he found the rapid stopping on Saturday evening, Nakamura says that he has a new patience and a new approach.
“I actually used a lot of wrestling and raw stop, and the public fascinated me,” Nakamura said during the press conference after the fight about his last victory before he suffered his first career defeat.
“That was a kind of shock. So I (re) considered my style. So I was too focused on eliminating my opponent. That is the reason that I did not perform well in my last fight.
“Especially, Mike Brown and many ATT coaches told me:” You have to struggle, struggle. With the help of struggling and fake, you will work striking. ” So I work on that, “Nakamura added.
