Newcastle is eager to add more signing sessions to the team after a difficult window that has seen them miss a handful of players – but the Magpies are reportedly optimistic for securing Crystal Palace star, Marc Guehi
Newcastle hopes to hijack Liverpool to sign Crystal Palace -defender Marc Guehi, while the Reds also try to praise Alexander Isak from St James' park.
The preparations for the Magpies for the new 2025-26 season are disturbed by the future of Talk about Isak after the player started to insist on a move to Liverpool.
With Newcastle, Isak has been clear that he wants to explore his options after a fantastic season that resulted in 27 Premier League goals and he was unable to add to his teammates during their pre-season tour through Asia.
Instead, he flew to Spain to only train in the facilities of the former Club Real Sociedad to let himself be taped in case Liverpool made an agreement with Newcastle.
But the first bid of Liverpool of approximately £ 120 million was rejected by the Magpies, who hope to continue the Saga – at least temporarily – by obtaining some own signing sessions.
Club heads hope to get one about the Reds by beating them for the signing of Guehi – and reporting that Newcastle is ready to revive their interest in the player they did not land last year after they had rejected three bids – the highest supply is £ 65 million.
Newcastle wants to spend no more than £ 40 million on the player, since his contract ends next summer and can even leave their movement in the window to get the best price, the report will take place.
The report says that Liverpool is still interested in Guehi, but are also not willing to splash the money on him.
