Liverpool's Teenage Sensation Rio Ngumoha made an impression when Liverpool Athletic Club beat 4-1 in the first of two back-to-back-friendly matches in Anfield.
The 16-year-old was rightly rewarded for his stunning solo goal against Yokohama Marinos in the previous fixture and added to his summer count within just two minutes, so that he curled his efforts in the upper right corner after he had driven the defense.
Liverpool doubled their lead three minutes later and Ngumoha was in the heart again.
The wing player hung on the cross of Ben Doak in the box before he started Darwin Nunez, who started the game in the middle of transfer -links to AC Milan, and received a warm reception from the home crowd after he had swept the ball into the back of the net.
Doak played a hand in the second and stepped up his threat in the last third part just before the break.
The 19-year-old, located on the opposite flank of Ngumoha, saw a stunning long-distance effort denied by Alex Padilla, who was left with a red face a little later after he had bundled the cross of Doak in his own net from a tight corner.
A failed clearance from Luca Stephenson has Gorka Guruzeta the opportunity to guide his own header up close, but the effort turned out to be a consolation goal during the 4-1 defeat on MerseSide.
The friendly marked the first game in Anfield since the tragic death of Diogo Jota and his brother, Andre Silva, with the duo honored in the 20th minute while all four corners of the stadium came to sing his name.
