Tony Ferguson could accept Michael Jordan in his career after the UFC.
After 36 professional fights and 24 UFC performances, the former UFC -Interim champion and the legendary lightweight exchanged the Octagon for the boxing ring.
That's right, Ferguson will make his pro-box debut later this month against influencer Salt Papi in the Co-Main event of Misfits Boxing 22 on August 30.
Ferguson will try to break the 8-field skid he had in the UFC, which is the worst losing skid in company history.
The 41-year-old veteran was released from the UFC after his record-breaking loss for Michael Chiesa in UFC Abu Dhabi in August, making 'El Cucuy' free to do what he wants in a free desk and that apparently includes a lifetime dream.

Long before he was on a 12-field win racing in the UFC Lightweight Division, Ferguson was a multisportatleet in football, baseball and wrestling.
Ferguson says he was never allowed to box when he grew up in Michigan.
Speakingly on his boxing debut, it seems that the 'Sweet Science' is not the only sport on Ferguson's bucket list, because Ferguson Pro Baseball wants to give a chance.
“This is a new sport,” Ferguson said in the Faceoff interview of a Miscfits.
'It's a new road for me to be able to go [compete].
“If I want to play pro baseball later, whatever,” Ferguson revealed.

“I spoke with my agent, this is a different path for me as a athlete to be able to demonstrate my talent and as I said, I am not going to be ——- not anymore.
“I can't do it. I can't sand, man,” added Ferguson.
Basketball legend Michael Jordan also played pro baseball in his career, but not long. Jordan played a season of Minor League baseball in 1994 before returning to the NBA the following year.
Why Tony Ferguson won a baseball in UFC
There will be another Tony Ferguson in the UFC.
Ferguson is really unique and one of the more memorable faces in the UFC for its entertaining fights and its unique personality.
In 2020, at a press conference for his UFC 249 fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov, which was canceled because of COVID-19, Ferguson had on blue gloves and a baseball in his hand while he is on stage.
It turned out that there was a reason for that.
“With Khabib I would always wear a ball or something to me,” Ferguson said on the Jaxxon podcast.

Ferguson and Nurmagomedov were planned to fight each other five times, but the light weights both pulled out of the matchup several times.
