UFC legend Holly Holm can go back to a world title fight after just one boxing match in 12 years.
Iconic former UFC champion Holm is already a boxing room of Famer, but made the switch to MMA in 2013, where she finally de -protected Ronda Rousey. Now she is back in the ring where she was impressed by a victory over the unbeaten Yolanda Vega on the undercard of Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
In the meantime, Chantelle Cameron has settled as the WBC interim champion at super light weight, making it the compulsory challenger for Katie Taylor. And if the Irish woman decides against arranging that trilogy, the Brit Holm wants to fight her for the empty world championship.
Chantelle Cameron explains that Katie Taylor has trilogy with one movement with one movement
In 2023, when the first Rematch between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano was canceled, Chantelle Cameron took her chance with both hands. She went to Dublin and defeated the Irishwoman in her huge 3arena homecoming, won undisputed super light weight gold.
They re-checked the next November, in which Taylor won a majority decision of the razor-close that would have gone the other way if the first round was scored. However, the third fight never came out, and after winning two against Serrano, it seems that the Bray Native can retire.
“I just want the chance of redemption for my belts as I gave her,” Cameron explained to Bloody Elbow in an exclusive chat. “She hit me, she got the chance of redemption, she came out successfully and when it was my turn, she decided she wanted to fight her.
“For me, now I just take it as a compliment because Katie and her team clearly know that I am a threat and I am very able to beat her again. If the trilogy happens, great, but if that is not the case, I can walk away with my head.
“If she's fighting again and I am not, then she has printed me. But when she retires, there is a fair play because what she has done for boxing women is great. She is a great athlete with all of Ireland behind her.
“But facts are facts, if she still takes a mandatory fight or an easy fight, she has pushed me. What she has achieved in the sport is remarkable, but I wonder if she is ready to retire? I don't think she's, she really performed well [against Serrano]She brought the old Katie Taylor back.
“She is good on her feet, did exactly what she had to do to win and I just don't know if she is really ready to retire.”
Chantelle Cameron wants Holly Holm if Katie Taylor -Trilogy cannot be made
If, for whatever reason, Taylor chooses to fight against Cameron, then she already has a super stame ready for her empty title fight; Holly Holm. The UFC legend is back in the ring and looked great against the world ranked vega previous time-out.
Holm is signed with the most valuable promotions of Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, just like Cameron, where the company absorbs almost all the best talent in the boxing of women.

“It is in an e -mail that Katie is fighting or leaving them and I personally think they are probably leaving,” Cameron continued. “So if she does, the title will be for the taking and I would like to share the ring with Holly Holm, I think that would be a great fight.
“If it happens, it would be great because I have so much respect for Holly. She is a legend in UFC, a very good boxer, she has returned to boxing and I want to have a career where I have caught these kinds of people with this kind of names and what an honor it would be to share the ring with Holly Holm.
“I want the fights that take care of it and make you enthusiastic and she is a real threat. She will give me my kilometers and push myself into the gym.”
