Manchester United has submitted an offer of € 75 million plus € 10 million in add-ons for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko.
Leipzig has yet to respond to the Premier League club's proposal.
The athletics reported on July 30 that Manchester United priority gave a movement for the attacker if they would sign another striker this summer and made informal contact with the Bundesliga Club.
The offer from United comes after the athletics had reported on Monday that Newcastle United had submitted an improved bid for the rush hour. Their opening bid of € 75 million plus € 5 million in add-ons was considered insufficient by Leipzig, which increased Newcastle to at least € 80 million.
Newcastle has a long -term interest in Sesko and the athletics reported on 24 July that the Premier League club is considering him a step in the event that Alexander Isak is leaving the club after the top scorer of last season expressed the wish to leave.
Manchester United has already been reinforced this summer in forward areas with the additions of Matheus Cunha of Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.
Sesko scored 21 goals last season in all competitions for Leipzig and has registered 39 goals and eight assists in 87 performances for the German club since he signed at RB Salzburg in 2023.
Arsenal was also interested in the attacker, but signed Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP in a first deal of € 63.5 million this summer. Chelsea had admired Sesko for several years, but chose to sign Liam Delap and Joao Pedro this window.
