Can Dustin Poirier's inspiring journey in MMA reach the big screen?

Poirier hung up his gloves in July and put an end to his 18-year term in mixed martial arts. 'The Diamond' made his last trip in the cage for his home fans in Louisiana, with headliner UFC 318 in the Smoothie King Center of New Orleans.

Although his career was closed without an undisputed title crowning, 'The Diamond' is generally considered one of the largest to never have been on a UFC throne, which has reached just about everything else in the sport.
