Las Águilas has a tournament record seven wins, including back-to-back victories in 2015 and 2016. Nine years after that last title, America will be one of the favorites to regain the continental trophy in 2025.
América qualified for next year's tournament as winners of the Apertura 2023 and Clausura 2024 titles, earning the club the Campeón de Campeones trophy. That domestic success also earns them a first-round bye, meaning América will join the competition in the round of 16 in March.

When does the 2025 CONCACAF Champions Cup start?
Of the 27 teams that have qualified for the 2025 tournament, 22 will compete in the first round, while the remaining five will advance directly to the round of 16.
Round one begins in early February with the two-legged matches played over four weeks: February 4-6 (Week 1), February 11-13 (Week 2), February 18-20 (Week 3) and February 25. -27 (week 4).
The tournament runs from February to June, culminating in a one-legged final on June 1, with the higher-ranked team getting home field advantage for the championship match.
