There was one line that Floyd Mayweather SR told that Dana White should not cross.
White is set to promote the upcoming boxing match between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on 13 September.
The involvement of the UFC president in that competition and his plan to announce his own full access to the sport next year will not mark his first prominent role in boxing promotion. White previously played a major role in putting together Conor McGregor's 'Money Fight' against Floyd Mayweather in 2017.

After Mayweather Pay-Perview records with McGregor broke into a competition that was invoiced as 'the greatest fight in the history of combat sport', he quickly announced his return to retirement. A few years later, however, it arose about a return.
And Comeback speculation was picked up in 2019, when Mayweather teased another collaboration with White after the couple was depicted at a basketball game between the Los Angeles Clippers and Boston Celtics in Staples Center.
Mayweather SR soon responded to his son's plan to retire with the help of Dana White. He made more than clear that the UFC boss would face his wrath if he convinced 'money' to do one specific thing.
“What's the name of that thing? It is better not MMA,” said Mayweather SR Fight Hub TV. “I don't think he wouldn't take that way, because I would go outside and Dana's ass.
“I'll do it. I would go back there and throw the S from him. Although Floyd is an adult man, I will be the adult to take over.
“You know that we usually talk, man, but I have heard nothing of (Mayweather JR),” he continued. “(The comeback) is a big surprise for me.”

Instead, 'Money' announced his return to an exhibition match with Logan Paul, which marked the first of many Post-Pro career companies that divided the opinion.
Since the non-scoring match of Mayweather and Paul, the 15-time world champion has been sharing the ring with people like YouTuber Deji Olatunji, the British reality star Aaron Chalmers, Rizin Mma-hunter Mikuru Asakura, and John Gotti III and John A. Gotti, respect.
Mayweather's exhibition boxing competitions have been widely criticized, in which some even suggest that the decorated ex-pro is damaged by continuing to entertain such periods at the age of 48.
