Benjamin Sesko could ruin Man Utd’s move for Brighton star Carlos Baleba

Benjamin Sesko is on the edge of a move to Manchester United of RB Leipzig, but there is less than non-welcome news about another transfer goals from the Red Devils

The aim of Manchester United on Benjamin Sesko could result in a cost, and not just a literal one. By prioritizing the Slovenian striker, it is unlikely that Ruben Amorim's side can connect their midfield hole with Carlos Baleba.

United will pay a maximum of £ 74 million, including add-ons for Sesko, where RB Leipzig confirms that the player is training away from the rest of their team. The Red Devils are convinced that they have defeated Newcastle until his signature, with the deal that has their summer spending a total of around £ 200 million.

They also investigated a movement for Brighton -star Baleba, to whom would not be cheap. According to athletics, the relocation is probably unrealistic from United, but they still test the water in an attempt to get an idea or be a movement.

Signing both Sesko and Baleba in this window would require significant sales elsewhere, something that does not seem to be on the cards. There is probably some money coming in, with Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho and Antony all possible to leave before the window closes, but that would be compensated by the edition for Sesko.

United has already spent great on Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, while also bringing in the young left back Diego Leon. A movement for Baleba will probably have to wait until 2026, despite the fact that Amorim has limited options for the defense.

Baleba came to Brighton from Lille in the summer of 2023, only fourteen days after the Seagulls sold fellow midfielder Moises Caicedo to Chelsea. The Cameroon International made 34 competition views in the past term, scored his first goals for the club and was asked about his future in May.

“If they can help me, I accept that help to continue and develop. So I just work to help my team and for myself for the future,” he said. “In exchange, everyone who helps me want me to go to the highest level. And if there are big clubs who want me, it's not something that worries me or makes me excited. I just have to work hard and keep a cool head.”

The United season starts against Arsenal on August 17 and the side of Ruben Amorim is impressed by the preseason. They claimed two wins and a draw in their three Premier League Summer Series matches, and head coach Amorim has seen many positives.

“I think it's a perfect feeling to go back to Carrington,” Amorim told Fiorentina for the friendly Saturday. “The momentum of the tour was perfect.

“We had two weeks to work in a good environment with a good feeling to go back to Carrington. We are close to the start of the season and we are going to do many things with the feeling.”
