Arne Slot has supervised a number of ins and outs during his second summer transfer window as Liverpool manager and there could be more in the coming weeks
Liverpool will get their Premier League season against Bournemouth for a week tomorrow, and the Reds have already had a very busy transfer window. They may not have been done yet, with options that remain in two important areas.
One is in an attack, where the rejected bid for Alexander Isak points to a desire for further reinforcements. Now that Darwin Nunez came closer to an exit, we could see the Isak situation walking.
Arne Slot is also enthusiastic about a new center-back after the move from Jarell Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen. Ibrahima Konate only has one year left on his contract, although he could still sign an extension, while Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez have two.
There have also been a number of outputs. Trent Alexander-Arnold is perhaps the best profile to continue, with Luis Diaz the most expensive sale, while Tyler Morton has also left Anfield.
Harvey Elliott was soon able to do his name on that list, with RB Leipzig on the young person. Here are the latest rules of Mirror Football about the Anfield Ins and Outs.
Elliott's farewell message
Harvey Elliott has shared a moving message for Tyler Morton after the exit of the midfielder Liverpool. Morton, who won the under-21 euros with Elliott in the summer, has completed a permanent move to Lyon.
“My brother @tylermorton6. So proud my partner !! earn it more than anyone,” wrote Elliott, together with two red heart emojis.
Elliott has also recorded the balance of his own future, but still has to make a decision in the midst of interest from RB Leipzig. “I just want to improve and be the best possible version of myself. If that goes somewhere else, then it is a decision that I have to make and I just have to see what happens,” he said earlier in the year.
“Nothing ensures that I want to leave. I love the club, I love the fans, the team. I support them too. But above all, it's only about what is best for my career.”
How comments about Isak
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has given an update about Alexander Isak. The striker is back in the northeast, but was kept away from an attachment session to which the families of players were invited.
“The player here has a responsibility to be part of a team and part of a team and you have to act in the right way. No player can expect to act poorly and train with the group as normal,” said Howe.
Sweden Spits Isak trained in Spain when he recovered from a small injury, missing him in the process for the season. It is still to be seen whether he is still a Newcastle player when the new season starts.
Nunez on its way
Al-Hilal seems to have won the race for Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez. The Uruguayan International looked like a European stay, but seems to be ready to move to the Saudi Pro League instead.
Reports suggest that a fee of £ 46 million has been agreed. This marks a loss about what the Reds Benfica paid for his services in 2022, even without one of the potential add-ons included in the deal.
Nunez, 26, has 25 goals in 95 Premier League outings for Liverpool – many of those competitions come as a replacement. He played a little more than 1,100 competition minute and returned five goals and three assists.
