Hector Fort loses La Liga exit option from Barcelona

Barcelona is almost certain to no longer sign players this summer and outputs are the primary focus for the rest of the transfer window.

Oriol Romeu and Hector Fort is expected to leave, but in the case of the latter, Barcelona struggles to find an acceptable buyer.

Romeu, Fort and the incoming departure of Inigo Martinez will release vital salary space to complete various players' registrations prior to the new campaign.

It is said that Martinez is a move to Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr, but the options of Fort have decreased in recent days.

Barcelona was previously open for a transfer with a purchasing option included, but this is no longer the case.

Fort attracts the interest of AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund, and he seems to leave Barcelona at the end of August, but according to Diario As, Barcelona wants a loan movement to continue its development with regular minutes at another club.

Preferably that scenario would be a seasonal stay on a La Liga side with which Hansi Flick could keep an eye on.

According to a new update from Diario Sport, Mallorca has now withdrawn their interest to take the fort for the 2025/26 season, and the situation has now returned to Square One.

The high demands of Barcelona about wage contribution, and a fee in the case of a sale have caused frustration in Palma, and Mallorca is also struggling to discharge the current right back Pablo Maffeo.

De la Blaugrana hierarchy will now openly reach clubs in an attempt to remove Fort from their salary list for 2025/26, because they are currently confronted with a scenario in which seven players cannot be eligible for the start of the La Liga season -ironically against Mallorca on August 16.
