Man United will close a deal for RB Leipzig -star Benjamin Sesko and his arrival could open to the door to a large exit of Old Trafford prior to the new season
Rasmus Hojlund's Manchester United Nightmare can end very well once Benjamin Sesko is signed. The RB Leipzig star is set to complete a sensational step to Old Trafford on immediately.
The Red Devils have agreed a £ 74 million deal with its current side and Sesko flew to the UK to undergo a medical with United. As soon as a deal with rubber is stamped, it could see the door open for Hojlund who left Old Trafford.
Italian side AC Milan is interested in the Danish striker and, according to Corriere Dello Sport, flew to the UK to have conversations. It is suggested that the Red Devils would like to send Hojlund on loan.
Milan would like to take the striker a temporary deal, but wants an option of £ 30 million to buy in a scheme. That would be a huge loss on the £ 72 million that United spent to sign Hojlund on the Italian side Atalanta in 2023.
The 22-year-old has since been 26 goals in 95 performances in all competitions. While United is open to let him leave, Hojlund has made his preference very clear – to stay in Manchester.
Speaking at the club's tour, he said: “I think my plan is very clear and that is for me to keep fighting for my place, whatever happens.
“I am still very young. I think people sometimes forget that. I am only 22. Of course, not every striker at the age of 22 scores 100 goals (such as Erling Haaland).
“But I learned a lot, I think you can see in my game. I am starting to develop and get even better in the base. Now it is almost for me to grind myself and I have done it very well in the preseason so far. Just concentrate on continuing that.
“The competition is fine for me. It sharpened me. I am more than ready. I feel sharp, so I welcome everything that comes. I think it is good with the competition and it just sharpenes the team.”

Hojund has left on his contract with Old Trafford for three years, but will fall the pecking order as soon as Sesko is signed. The Slovenian scored 21 goals in all competitions in the past term for Leipzig.
His signing is all part of a large recruitment drive on the part of Ruben Amorim, while they try to add more goals after a terrible campaign last time. Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo have both been signed for a combined £ 133 million.
United starts their Premier League campaign against Arsenal in Old Trafford in just over a week. For that they compete against the Italian side Fiorentina in their last pre-season match of the summer.
