Man Utd could target £53m star and three others in huge saving on Carlos Baleba

Manchester United is enthusiastic about Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba, but his price tag is a problem and there are some potentially cheaper and more feasible options on the transfer market

Manchester United could turn to much cheaper alternatives if they are ultimately priced from a movement for Carlos Baleba. The Brighton midfielder has emerged as a potential target for Ruben Amorim, who wants to strengthen his midfield before his first full season.

United has reportedly made contact with the Seagulls, who can ask for about £ 100 million for Baleba, because he has three years old about his contract. United is supposed to appreciate him at £ 70 million, and it has been suggested that Baleba could ask to lower Brighton to lower their asking price.

However, if a deal were to happen, United would have to discharge further players to increase their purchasing power.

To add further intrigues, it is also assumed that Manchester City Balba is watching, which cost Brighton £ 23.2 million when they signed him from Lille in 2023. If the city did not hit, United could decide to wait for a later transfer window, at what time the asking price of Brighton could fall.

But if Amorim finds that he needs the midfield reinforcement before the deadline of 1 September on 1 September, there are some other, cheaper alternatives …

Lamine Camara

The highly rated 21-year-old from Monaco, who was previously linked to Tottenham, could be an option. An asking price of approximately £ 53 million – almost half of what it could cost to sign Baleba – has been reported.

Camara is already impressed by an English soil, in the lead role for Senegal during their 3-1 friendly victory over England in the city. Suitable for the urgent game that Amorim wants to play, Camara is skilled on stopping when starting attacks.

Hayden Hackney

There are a number of other cheaper options that United could turn, including Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough, 22. After the former United -Midfielder Michael Carrick, who was fired by Boro earlier this summer, Hackney knows how to take care of the ball.

He also does an excellent job, with the possibility of covering a lot of land. After he did not play in the Premier League, he could be one for the future, but could be a very sensible investment.

Lucien Agoume

It seems like a matter of time before Agoume is in the Premier League, with Arsenal that it was assumed to be interested in the Seville medium.

The 23-year-old played for France at the recent European championship under the age of 21, his last age group tournament. He will now be looking to take his game to a higher level for both club and country.

A lofty, combative midfielder, Agoume does not take prisoners, what can be exactly what Amorim's midfield needs. He is also not technically lacking and is able to run forward.

Adam Wharton

A more unlikely target compared to the aforementioned trio, but Wharton can still be a cheaper option than Baleba. The midfielder of England was connected to Liverpool earlier this summer, with a fee of £ 75-80 million to light.

The FA Cup winners were ran to Palace until 2029 and without release clause are in a powerful strong position when it comes to one of their appreciated assets. Given his enormous quality, the interest in him will certainly grow. United should keep an eye on his situation.
