Alexander Isak transfer saga has happened before with Tottenham – and it did not end well for them

Newcastle are non -uniform Alexander Isak nowhere.

But Tottenham fans will allow themselves a bitter smile while the tone tries to keep Star Man Isak out of the clutches of Larpool's large editions.

Because they have seen this film before, and they didn't keep the end.

In 2008 the role of Isak was played by Dimitar Berbatov and the plot was indeed very similar.

A Talismian striker scores at Wembley to help his club win a long -awaited trophy.

But his success attracts the attention of the ruling Premier League champions, who publicly chases him.

The requested Star's club leaves him out of games, while speculation persists, but insists that he will not leave.

And then they sell him on the deadline day after forcing the price to a record compensation for both clubs.

Even the Transfer Deadline Day before the Summer Window was the same – September 1.

The Berbatov -Saga suggests Liverpool and Isak will get their way – and things can become filthy before they do.

Losing the Lome Bulgarian to Manchester United 17 years ago Tottenham fans really hurt.

Berbatov equalized the penalty spot in the League Cup final against Chelsea before Jonathan Woodgate led an extra-time winner since 1999 to seal the club's first silverware.

Isak took the second in Newcastle's 2-0 win over Liverpool, who ended a long waiting time of 70 years on a domestic trophy.

Newcastle still has to make their frustration with the Reds officer, as Spurs did when they complained at the Premier League about the relentless, public goal of United, Berbatov.

The Bulgarian came 25 minutes from Tottenham's defeat on Middlesbrough during the opening weekend of the 2008-09 season.

But he was omitted from the next two matches and a defeat of 2-1 at home through Sunderland and 1-1 draw in Chelsea.

Although the reason for Isak's pre-season tour of Newcastle would be missing by Asia “a small dijing injury”, boss Eddie Howe has confirmed that the striker will not train with the rest of the team or in the current circumstances.

Howe, who says that Isak has not been disciplined, believes that nothing will change prior to the opening premier competition match of the following weekend against Aston Villa.

But will the position of Newcastle mitigate in terms of selling Isak for a price that Liverpool is willing to pay after an offer of £ 110 million has been rejected?

The Berbatov experience is again in favor of the Merseysiders. Tottenham Supremo Daniel Levy was and is a notoriously sturdy negotiator.

But after all the resentment, a £ 30.75 million deal was closed and the first single Spurs fans knew it was when their beloved striker was caught on the camera in Manchester on Deadline Day.

Of course Berbatov United helped to win their third Premier League title in a row and the Premier League Golden Boot earned when they did it again two seasons later.

That prize was shared with Carlos Tevez of Manchester City, whose relocation through the city from Old Trafford had also been controversial.

But perhaps Robin van Persie is the other nearest comparison with the Isak situation in 2012.

Arsenal -Baas Arsene Wenger had accused traces of using their Premier League complaint to increase the Berbatov allowance four years earlier.

But this time Wenger and Arsenal were at the wrong end of a deal. Van Persie scored TOP in the Premier League in 2011-12 and won the PFA and FWA Player of the Year Awards.

Yet he was unhappy with the lack of challenge of the Gunners for major awards, as a succession of players who were left. Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure came to City in 2010, with Samir Nasri in 2011.

Van Persie claimed to have offered no new deal from Arsenal later, even though he was only one year left on his contract.

Shades there too, from Isak, who is reportedly irritated by Newcastle who goes back with a promise to improve his deal last year.

Van Persie, just like Berbatov, had offers from City and United.

He chose the latter and immediately gave 26 goals and 10 assists in 38 performances when United won their 20th (and last) top title in 2013.

A contract row, the ambition to win large titles, a freer with money to burn that does not take no as an answer – all ingredients are there with Isak.

And so the clock taps to Deadline Day.

Isak certainly does not have to follow the Peter Odemwingie route.

On the last day of the winter window 2013, the Nigerian international striker said goodbye to his teammates in West Brom and drove to the Loftus Road Stadium of QPR pending moving to Rangers.

The only problem was that the deal would not happen. While fans and cameras watched, Odemwingie learned the embarrassing truth and he had to turn his Range Rover to go back to the M1.

Isak will avoid that humiliation. And even if he gets his way, he will certainly not play for Newcastle or Liverpool when the parties meet on August 25 in St James' Park in the second round of Premier League matches.

So little chance of repeating AdeBayor's length of the pitch sprint to celebrate for furious Arsenal fans when he scored for City against them shortly after his move.

But will Liverpool and Isak will get their dream -last scene before the credits roles on a different transfer window Melodrama?
