Barcelona is sweating on the fitness of Ster -striker Robert Lewandowski after a new injury to the veteran.
Lewandowski posted his best figures as a Barcelona player last season, while La Blaugrana lit an illuminated trophy -with 27 La Liga goals and 42 in all competitions.
The International Van Polen missed the last weeks of the campaign due to injuries and did not stand out for Poland Duty and to rest as a precaution.
Prior to their last pre-season match of the summer against Como in the Joan Gamper-Trophy this weekend, Barcelona gave a muscle injury for the 36-year-old.
Previous reports have indicated that Lewandowski is 100% out for the Como game and he will miss the Barcelona campaign opener on August 16 against Mallorca.
Ferran Torres is also struggling with injuries and Marcus Rashford still has to be registered as a LA Liga player in the midst of a running row over Marc-Andre ter Stegen's injury to release salary space.
There are mixed updates about when Lewandowski will return, but Diario, as well as 2-3 weeks for a complete recovery, which would miss the trip to Levante on August 23.
All three of the first matches of Barcelona of 2025/26 are kept away from Catalonia, because the club returns to a Kampnou in September and Lewandowski is not risked in Rayo Vallecano on 31 August.
A return to the national team of Poland is expected at the beginning of September – after reunion talks with the new boss Jan Urban – and he wants to be involved in two important 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifications.
Poland will take on the Netherlands in Rotterdam on 4 September before a home collision with Finland three days later.
They won two qualifications in March, with Lewandowski in the team, but lost 2-1 to Finland in June, as part of his temporary international exile.
