Real Madrid is expected to focus exclusively on the sale for the rest of the summer transfer window, after he has already signed four players for the Xabi Alonso team. And of those who could leave in the coming weeks, Dani Ceballos is.
Ceballos is told by Alonso that he does not want him to leave this summer, but that did not stop speculating about a possible exit. A move to Saudi Arabia was recently rejected, but the midfielder is open to a club member if the chance occurs: real betis.
Ceballos came to Real Madrid by the ranks at Betis before a relocation of 2017, and eight years later he could now be set for a return to Andalusia. And in the last 24 hours, the chances of a deal appear to be closed.
On Sunday, Betis confirmed that Superstar game maker was broke his leg during the pre-season Kind defeat against Malaga, who will see him out of operation for the next three months. A replacement will now be sought, and according to Sport, the preferred option is for the one with Los Verdiblancos Ceballos.
Real Madrid's position on Ceballos is different from that of their head coach, whereby the report explains that a deal could be concluded if Betis would pay € 15-20 million. This is their asking price, and if it is achieved, it can allow Los Blancos to find an immediate replacement that they cannot do in advance because their first team team is already on capacity.
Ceballos would be a top signing for Betis, and they can afford to get it done – given that they have sold Johnny Cardoso to Atletico Madrid for € 30 million earlier in the summer. However, the funds would be removed from a possible deal for Antony, which they want to sign again at Manchester United.
