Chelsea has conversations with RB Leipzig with regard to a potential SWAP deal for Xavi Simons.
As reported by the Guardian, the deal was able to return to Christopher Nunku after two years at Stamford Bridge.
The German club wants to sign Nunku again to replace Benjamin Sesko after the move from the striker to Manchester United.
Nunku signed a six -year contract with Chelsea in 2023 after participating in £ 52 million.
The versatile attacker has found consistency difficult to visit Chelsea and could now leave.
It was expected that Simons would cost around £ 61 million. Chelsea now likes to be Nunku, whom they appreciate for £ 40 million, as part of the deal.
RB Leipzig is also interested in Liverpool -midfielder Harvey Elliott.
Nunku signed for Leipzig in 2019 and made 172 performances for the club, while he scored 70 goals and offered 56 assists.
He won the DFB-Pokal twice with the club, where he is still considered very high.
Simons signed permanent for Leipzig in January after two loan spells. He previously played for PSG and PSV.
Chelsea is also in conversation with Manchester United with regard to Alejandro Garnacho, while Forward Nicolas Jackson could possibly leave.
