Things don't get much more dominant than this UFC Vegas 109 display.
The middleweight division has a new championship candidate and his name is Anthony Hernandez. Only a week before Dricus du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev's title fight on UFC 319, 'Fluffy' made a statement in his second main event at the Apex.
Hernandez caught the eye of Du Plessis by submitting Roman Dolidze in round four, but the finish was far from the first part of the American in a fight that gave him an extra $ 50,000 in 'Performance of the Night' cash.
To be honest, he beat the Georgian competition from pillar to mail, and the incredibly unilateral statistics magazine proves so much …
Anthony Hernandez Out-Truck Roman Dolidze 120-39 on UFC Vegas 109
Hernandez came to the UFC Vegas 109 Main Event on a seven-Fight Win-Streak, forged by his ruthless pressure, strong cardio and well-completed skills. All three facets were completely visible on Saturday evening and Dolidze was the last to be the victim of them.
Writing was early on the wall, because Hernandez hurt 'the white' in the first round with powerful hooks and elbows. And his pressure took place in the following rounds, with 'fluffy' soon Dolidze down and threw absolute bombs.
There was little doubt about who was at the top of the stand-up department, reflected in the last striking figures. Per UFC statistics, Hernandez Widened Dolidze massively elaborated, connected to 120 shots compared to the Miest 39 of the Georgian.
With that in mind, it is not surprising that the couple had drastically different important striking success rates. While Hernandez connected with an impressive 59 percent, Dolidze landed at a speed of only 33 percent.
Van Hernandez's 91 important strikes went to the head of Dolidze. The traffic was thus one -way traffic that some on social media even suggested that coach Eric Nicksick should have looked to throw in the towel.

Anthony Hernandez landed 9 out of 11 Takedowns for 7:48 minutes of control time
It was far from just the statistics on the feet that Hernandez dominated. The well -completed fan favorite also imposed his will on the floor on the floor.
'Fluffy' had no problem dragging the Georgian down and succeeded in nine of his 11 Takedown attempts. And Hernandez made good use of it and collected a huge seven minutes and 48 seconds of control time, in which he landed 30 of 32 ground and pound strikes.
It was ultimately the grasp that brought the finish, whereby Hernandez succeeded a number of cruel knees against the fence by Raged in the fourth frame in a horribly tight choke.

The move forced an immediate tap and brought a tough night to the office for 'The Caucasian', who had broken his three-fighting running run in the top.
Hernandez has now won eight on the bounce, so many call him for the winner of Du Plessis vs. Chimaev to challenge the line.
