One of the colleague Brazilian UFC light weights from Charles Oliveira is not happy with the matchup 'Do Bronx'.
To the care of many, Oliveira will be back in action last June only four months after the most brutal setback of his career of his career at International Fight Week.
Oliveira was eliminated by Ilia Topuria in the main event of UFC 317, where the Spaniard left the fan of the fan unconscious in the very first round of their collision for the empty lightweight championship.
Such a malignant result showed the most hoping to see a period of peace and recovery for 'Do Bronx', but the Brazilian wants to get back to the horse immediately instead by making his first performance in the home floor in more than five years.
Renato Moicano saw three better options for the next UFC fight from Charles Oliveira
Oliveira will weigh UFC Rio against Rafael Fiziev on 11 October, so that an extremely rapid change of the devastating blow Topuria has been controlled to his ambitions of a second lightweight title line.
Among those who are confused by the booking, the countryman and lightweight pear of the former champion, Renato Moicano. In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel, 'Money' seemed stunned at the chosen matchup.
Moicano sees Fiziev as a big threat to Oliveira, so much so that he has branded the likely favorite 'Ataman'. With that in mind, he believes that 'Do Bronx' would be better served to chase three other potential opponent options, two of whom are very well known.
“It would be more logical for Charles to take on (Dan) Hooker, get a rematch with (Justin) Gaethje or wait for (max) Holloway, who had already shown interest in fighting him,” said Micano.
Oliveira initially called Holloway shortly after his loss at UFC 317 and wanted to revenge his defeat against 'Blessed' in 2015. Although the Hawaiian reacted positively, the promotion clearly has various plans for the BMF champion.
Renato Moicano has the danger that Rafael Fiziev will present to Charles Oliveira
It is not surprising to see Moicano send a warning to Oliveira, who got used to Fiziev's capacities in the Octagon itself a few years ago.
Moicano was finished by Fiziev on UFC 256 in 2020, with a brutal combination on the feet that sent the then title challenge in the first round to the Canvas.
After felt that force of first -hand, the Brazilian sees his former opponent as the “worst” possible choice for Oliveira's first fight after the Topuria Ko.
“The worst fight in the entire lightweight rankings for Charles,” said Micano during the same video.
“In my opinion, Fiziev is the best striker in the division, actually the best striker I have ever confronted, and I see the UFC that Fiziev wants to put on a title run again,” he added.
