Tottenham Hotspur has money to spend under the new manager Thomas Frank after the sale of Captain Son Heung-Min, and part of it could go to a raid on Manchester City
The busy summer of Manchester City could leave Savinho as the strange man, and Tottenham Hotspur may be ready to jump. The Brazilian winger only came to the city last summer, but saw his time in the Etihad Stadium come to an early end.
Savinho, 21, scored a competition goal in 29 trips in the past term – eight of those performances by the bank. He was also on goal against Club Brugge in the Champions League and in the 5-2 Club World Cup Group phase victory against Juventus.
Pep Guardiola's side has been busy on the transfer market since last season missed the silverware. Rayan Cherki is most likely to take Savinho playing time, while the arrival of Tijjani Reinders and Return or Rodri Guardiola could enable things to change things with his formation.
Jack Grealisk is already suffering from the competition for places, with a movement for the £ 100 million people expected. According to reports about the continent, Spurs can still benefit from the situation to bring Savinho to North Londs.
Spurs have already been reinforced in the last third part of this window, with new boss Thomas Frank who supervises a £ 55 million movement for Mohammed Kudus. However, James Maddison's ACL injury means that more depth could be needed, and Savinho is said to be open to the club.
It seems that a lot has changed since January, when Guardiola Savino praised for the spark he gave in the must-win match against Bruges. “He was incredible,” said the manager about the Brazilian after City came from behind to beat the Belgian side.
“He changed the game and had won two or three corners after five or ten minutes. Our crowd reacted and we had the chances.”
Spurs are reinforced with the signing of Kudus van West Ham and a permanent deal for Mathys Tel, which becomes a member after a loan from Bayern Munich. Maddison, however, will be a big loss, with the former Leicester star who missed the majority of the season after the knee operation.
“I think it is disappointing, but also devastating to me and especially for Madders that he is out of the team,” said Frank. “We will miss him and undoubtedly he will play football.”
Kevin Danso joined count when completing a permanent step after a successful loan, with Kota Takai and Luka Vuskovic among the other newcomers. Joao Palhinha is also on loan from Bayern, while Captain Son Heung-Min is the best profile star who leaves North Londs after completing a move to Los Angeles FC.
Spurs starts their Premier League campaign on Saturday and organizes newly promoted Burnley. They are also back in the Champions League this season thanks to their victory in the Europa League final in May.
