According to a report from L'équipe, OGC Nice wants to strengthen their midfield this summer with the signing of Mahdi Camara (27) by Stade Brestois.
The midfield of Nice was remarkably exposed during their 2-0 defeat at home at SL Benfica in the first stage of their UEFA Champions League qualifying match, and the club reportedly went looking for it to act quickly in the market.
Les Aiglons have set their sights on Camara and have tried to get this deal over the line, where Brest is said to want around € 8 million. The midfielder is strongly connected this summer to an exit from Brest, and early in the summer was approached by clubs from the United States and Russia.
Camara is an important part of this Brest team since he came to Boyhood Club when Saint-Étienne in the summer of 2022. Last season he was able to experience the UEFA Champions League for the first time with Les Pirates, so that the club could reach the Playoff rounds where they were eliminated by final champions Paris Saint-Germain.
