Strasbourg interested Diallo return among competition from Brest, Lens, & Lille

Two years after leaving France, Senegal International and former Strasbourg Striker Habib Diallo (30) could soon be back in Ligue 1.

The 30-year-old striker left Strasbourg in August 2023 after a productive Ligue of 20 goals 1 season, where he arrived at a Saudi-Arab side Al-Shabab in a € 18 million deal. Since then he can regularly be seen in the Saudi Pro League, first with Al-Shabab and then on loan at Damac, with about 20 target contributions in 61 performances.

According to Foot Mercato, Diallo is now working on terminating his contract with al-Shabab-Bab-where he is bound until 2026, he would be free to choose his next club. The former Metz, Brest and Strasbourg Vooruit, which rarely increases injury and remains a key figure for Senegal, has previously attracted an interest of Strasbourg, Brest, Lens, Lorient and Lille.

Diallo is reportedly ready to lower its salary needs, which can restore Ligue 1 interest. Various Spanish clubs are also said to keep an eye on his situation, but a return to France – where he has scored more than 100 goals in Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 – is now firmly on the table. GFFN | George Boxall
