Atletico Madrid completed another deal this summer, in which Giacomo 'Jack' Raspadori from Napoli arrives. The Italian attacker will be their seventh new addition of summer, and their ninth permanent transfer in general, including the signing sessions of Clement Lenglet and Juan Muso.
Raspadori adds another attacker to the options of Simeone, in addition to new addition Thiago Almada and even Alex Baena, who can play on the first three. He is expected to be an alternative to Simeone from the left or through the middle behind a central striker.
According to earlier reports, Atletico Napoli pays € 22 million and another € 4 million could be available in variables for the Serie A champions, a deal agreed after more than a week of conversations between the two clubs. Raspadori had previously signed a move and wrote a five -year contract with Los Colchoneros.
It makes it a second consecutive summer of large editions for Atletico, which with the arrival of Raspadori reaches € 175 million in transfer costs without taking variables into account. Raspadori is covered by Italy 40 times and is a European champion, but has trouble closing a place in the Napoli side of recent times. Last year he scored six times and gave two assists in 29 performances, on average a goal contribution every 165 minutes.
