Joan Laporta, president of Barcelona, has promised an 'intense week' for their La Liga -opener, while they work to ensure that their new players are registered on time for their journey to RCD Mallorca. In the previous three summers, players missed matches due to registration problems.
As it looks now, Barcelona will be signed by Joan Garcia and Manchester United -Loiner Marcus Rashford without € 25 million. Jonger Roony Bardghji could be registered with Barca Atletic for convenience.
“This week will be intense because everything is ready to conclude certain operations that would give us the fair play that we need to register players,” he told TV3, as quoted by Sport.
After Marc-Andre ter Stegen had announced that he would give permission to send his medical report to La Liga, so that Barcelona could possibly activate the injury rule, Laporta was convinced that Garcia would be available for Hansi Flick on Saturday.
“We work to make it happen. With Marc's decision we have the option to register Joan Garcia, and we are working on the rest. This week we have news, hopefully good to see if we can register before the competition starts. And if we can't do that, we'll have time.”
If Barcelona can activate the injury rule, Barcelona would allow Barcelona to use 50% or more from Ter Stegen's salary limit effects to register Garcia.
In the meantime, there are also doubts about the progress of their renovations in Camp Nou. With the stadium with serious delays, they are not in danger the latest deadline they have set up on September 14 for their first League match.
