‘Born to fight’…Sean O’Malley hypes up star teammate ahead of Dana White’s Contender Series showcase

Former UFC Bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley's teammate will want to be the newest superstar from DWCs.

Sean O'Malley is one of the largest UFC stars in promotion today, despite losing back-to-back fights against the current UFC Bantamweight title holder Merab Dvalishvili. His journey to become one of the biggest names in mixed martial arts started with a Walkoff -Knock -out in the Contender Series of Dana White.

O'Malley earned a UFC contract by eliminating Alfred Khashakyan in 2017. The finish produced a viral moment when Snoop Dogg had a wild reaction to O'Malley's victory.

Eight years later, one of the top teammates of O'Malley, Tommy McMillen, fights for the same chance.

McMillen, unbeaten by his first eight professional fights, will fight against David Mgoyan on the UFC Apex on 2 September. McMillen has a similar construction like O'Malley and has slippery wrestling to go on the feet with impressive power.

Although O'Malley will not be in McMillen's corner during his DWCS fight, he keeps a close eye on the matchup and believes that UFC fans should prepare themselves to view the next potential superstar of the promotion.

During a recent episode of the Timbosugarshow, O'Malley gave radiant praise for his highly affected teammate.

“I am excited for that fight. Lots of hype [on Tommy]”Said O'Malley.

“I remember that I literally fought when I was 16, 17, 18 years old in Great Falls, he saw him. He is probably 4, 5 years younger than me, but saw him walking around because his father used to fought, he had been there.

“There are few people who are born to fight. Die F – Guy was born to fight. But a very tough fight for the competition series can be a UFC fight, 100 percent.

In addition to O'Malley, Mario Bautista and other top names in MMA Lab in Arizona, McMillen trains. All eight victories of McMillen have ended in the first round, including a knockout of 20 seconds in his third professional fight.

O'Malley has not fought anymore since he lost to Dvalishvili due to entry on UFC 316 earlier this summer. Despite his coach teasing a potential switch to featherweight, O'Malley was able to return to Bantamweight towards the end of the year.

A TOP -FC analyst predicts O'Malley to overcome his two losses for DvalishVili and to get the UFC Bantamweight title back next year.

Sean O'Malley predicted the title of the Bantam weight in 2026

UFC Hall of Famer Chael Sonnen predicts that O'Malley will be the last double title holder of the UFC next year. He quoted the potentially sloping stint of Dvalishvili at Bantamweight, who could open the door to O'Malley who still got a title shot.

Dvalishvili returns to the Octagon in October on UFC 320 against Cory Sandhagen in the Co-Main event of the map. If Dvalishvili still earns a dominant victory over Sandhagen, he could possibly fight again in December.

The current losing series of O'Malley is the first of his career, after losing only one of his previous 20 professional fights before the current Skid. He will get back on track later this year and his star teammate McMillen was able to join him on a map.
