Alex Pereira’s first look as A24 movie villain has fans worried ahead of UFC 320 rematch vs. Magomed Ankalaev

The move from Alex Pereira to Hollywood has come with a mixed reaction.

Alex Pereira is one of the few UFC hunters who has become a two-part UFC champion, now he is going for dual status because he tries to demand his revenge on the current light heavyweight champion Magomed Ankalaev.

Ankalaev handed 'Patan' his first loss on 205 pounds at UFC 313 in March, where he won with a unanimous decision.

A lot was made of the first training camp and the preparation of Pereira on Ankalaev or the lack of it, while the former champion traveled the world over the world and many adventures went outside of training.

There is a similar story for his rematch with Ankalaev on UFC 320 on October 4 in Las Vegas.

Pereira will not only prepare for his next fight, but also for a new film.

Alex Pereira criticized after he took the free time to film a new film

In October Pereira is said to play a villain in the new thriller 'Onslaught' of A24.

On Sunday Pereira posted set photos and videos from the upcoming film and his new costume, which the UFC star has in tactical equipment, painted half of his face black and used a butcher's knife.

Although fans are enthusiastic about the acting debut of Pereira, others are concerned that he does not take rival Ankalaev as serious as he should for their UFC 320 title fight.

“It started to go downhill quickly when Ronda Rousey started making films,” wrote a fan on X.

“I need my boy to get the belt back. I hope this is not a distraction,” the fan added.

“Never good for Fighter's career when they start to take on other jobs,” wrote another fan.

“As soon as they go Hollywood, they never go back as a champion,” said another fan.

“Never win again in the UFC. People went Hollywood,” a fan predicted.

“Go off the movie and close. You have to get your belt back in two months,” said another fan.

'Onslaught' currently has no release date.
