Arsenal supported Mikel Arteta Prior to the 2025/26 campaign with a heavy spending summer and the pressure is now on the Gunners boss to finally deliver silverware after a few frustrating campaigns
Arsenal will hope that 2025/26 is finally their year under Mikel Arteta. The Gunners are second in each of the last three Premier League campaigns and remain desperate to go better.
And the North -London side has postponed their stall with a lucrative summer. So far, Arsenal has spent an eye-watery £ 200 million on this window.
Viktor Gyokers, Martin Zubimendi and Noni Madueke all represent their heads, while Kepa Arrizabala, Christian Norgaard and Crithic Mosquera have all signed to add more depth.
The only problem is that Arsenal is not the only side that has been strengthened, Rivals Manchester City and Liverpool have also been very busy. So, will the things of the Gunners be enough to finally reach the line in the Premier League?
Mirror football writers have taken a look at their crystal balls to see how the next 10 months can come out for Arteta's men:
Arsenal finally got what they have needed for years – a clinical striker. The 97 goals of Viktor Gyokers in just two seasons with Sporting Lisbon suggests that he could bring some much needed goals in North Londs.
And I think he will do that. I see him touching at least 20 in both the Premier League and the Champions League that represents a very healthy return for a debut campaign. But I still don't think it will be enough to reduce the opening to Liverpool at the top of the table.
The Reds were just too good last season and the additions they made in the summer should make them even stronger. So the gunners may have to deal with seconds again.
That could even question the future of their star players. William Saliba will take effect in the last two years of his contract and you would propose your speculation about a move to Real Madrid that may be set to rise.
The same can certainly be said of Bukayo Saka, who will undoubtedly have his admirers elsewhere. So while the couple seems to stay where they are now, their futures can soon be questioned after another season without silverware.

Fourth time is the charm? Is that one thing? Arsenal had the basis and the opportunity to take advantage of Manchester City who dropped out last season, and their failure to do this still has to make them angry.
Fans pointed to bad luck, conspiracy and injuries to a variety of intensity, with only the first and final credibility. The Gunners had bad luck, especially with the list of fixture, and they indeed hindered fitness issues on crucial points. It's just … not enough, right?
This time they have to be sharper and more crucial more creative. Mikel Arteta now supervises a team that is determined to defeat you by Brute Force, and did not win many points for artistry as they do.
The addition of Viktor Gyokeres seems more like slog than style, and unless Arteta tackles the striking lack of creativity when Martin Odegaard is out or out of shape, Arsenal looks like their most important goals.
Bukayo Saka is of course a superstar, and he will have an excellent season again to make up for the last one, but Gyokeres could eventually become an autumn man for the battle to be vast, and it would not be a shock to ultimately give Kai Havertz preferred to him in Attack, unless they get the service directly to the Sweded.
Arteta needs a trophy, but the FA Cup is perhaps its best gamble. Just like in the competition, they will no longer be second, but third.
Feels completely reasonable to be optimistic about Arsenal this summer. They finished second three consecutive time and have signed some good players, so could this finally be their year?
I am still not convinced. But with a good center-forward in the fold now, in the form of Viktor Gyokeres, they still have a rope to their bow. Gyokeres is a batter of a Spits-a real all-rounder that I am sure will improve the attack of the gunners.
Martin Zubimendi is a stylish midfielder who should help the goalscoring instincts that Declan Rice showed last season, Noni Madueke is a nice addition to the wing and the defense, which was the best in the Premier League last year, remains relatively unchanged.
Now that Max Downman comes to join Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly in the exciting youth ranks, there should be enough for fans to cheer about.
The problem may just be that the competition is too strong. Liverpool has strengthened their ranks with some striking signing sessions and Pep Guardiola's Manchester City should also be back in the mix. I am not sure if Arsenal has the depth of their rivals and an injury to Bukayo Saka, William Saliba or Rice could derail their competition campaign. A trophy in a cup competition seems to be the most likely route to success.
This is not a knee shock reaction that Liverpool loses the community shield, I think Arsenal will win the Premier League. The summer of the Gunners was completely about getting a striker, but the addition of Martin Zubimendi will make the difference.
He will give Mikel Arteta a different dimension to the basis of midfield, where creativity was highly dependent on Martin Odegaard, and English fans will see why the 26-year-old was so coveted. Viktor Gyokees would not have been my first choice, but he will certainly make Arsenal stronger and he does not have to start every game as a signing of £ 100 million-plus.
Noni Madueke is the only signature that I am really skeptical about, especially because of how different the Gunners could have spent £ 52 million and how well Max Dowman and Ethan Nwaneri appearance. Their team now has a serious depth, and I think they will all have winners medals in May.
Viktor Gyokees is the signing that Arsenal needs to make, and his goals will bring them to the count they needed to win the Premier League last season. Unfortunately for them it is not enough this time.
It is difficult to beat a lot about what Andrea Berta has done, except the fact that it might be a bit too much movement from one season to the other. For this reason, the Gunners can rely on larger seasons of Mikel Merino and Riccardo Calafiori than some now think.
The development of Ethan Nwaneri will be one of the great things to pay attention. He can offer a different route and reduce the dependence on Martin Odegaard to create deep, while I get the feeling that we will see more of Kai Havertz as a number eight.
If it works as planned, the Arsenal could bring that elusive competition title. The problem comes from the fact that Liverpool is also strengthened of a higher basis, in which Chelsea and Manchester City also look stronger.
I finished Arsenal in the second behind the Arne Slot team, and there will not be so happy with that. A success of the Champions League after last season's run to the semi -final, however? Don't exclude it.
