Newcastle has announced the signing of defender Malick Thiaw from AC Milan for a long -term deal.
The German International, 24, is joining a reported basic costs of £ 30 million with £ 4.3 million in add-ons.
He started his career at Schalke before moving to Milan, where he played three seasons and gave Champions League experience.
ThiaW mainly plays as a center base, but can also fill on right back.
He took the number 12 shirt and said: 'I am really excited to become a member of this huge club. I can't wait to start training and to get to know my new teammates and all the staff.

Newcastle United head coach Eddie Howe added: 'We are very happy that we have Malick on board. He is a player I have admired for a long time and someone who will add real quality to our defensive options.
