Mikel Arteta added six players to his Arsenal team this summer, but a seventh is still possible – if the Gunners act quickly to land their next high -profile target
Arsenal has completed most of their summer transfer activities, but there is still a remarkable deal to be completed. Some fans regard Ebereechi Eze as the missing piece of the Gunners Jigsaw, but manager Mikel Arteta no longer has time to add the English international to his team.
Arsenal of Arteta has been busy in their first summer window with Andrea Berta charged with transfers. Kepa Arrizabalaga, Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke, Crithian Mosquera, Christian Norgaard and Martin Zubimendi have all arrived in North Londs, at a combined cost of more than £ 200 million.
A movement for Eze would see that the sum climbs even higher, with the Crystal Palace star available for a release clause of £ 68 million. However, that clause is on Friday.
According to The Guardian, it is not expected that traces are expected to offer so much for Eze after they have already spent more than £ 100 million on Mohammed Kudus, Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel. The same publication claims that Eze, that time spent in the Academy of Arsenal as a young person, would prefer a move to the side of Mikel Arteta.
It is possible that an £ 68 million bid is still correct after the release clause has expired. However, if Arsenal is sure that they will probably have to raise money through players' sales in the coming two days.
A small amount has already come in this summer, with Nuno Tavares and Marquinhos both rooms on loan after last season. Fabio Vieira is also expected to leave, with Stuttgart Keen, but there is some negotiations about transfer costs for the former Porto star.
Jakub Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko could both be elsewhere when a suitable offer arrives, while reports have been important in goalkeeper Karl Hein in the third choice. Leandro Trossard is the player who will most likely get a healthy fee, even though it is in the last year of his contract.
“I am happy, I think everyone is involved at their best, that's what we want and then we will have to start with 11 players and other players will have to influence the game,” said Arteta after Arsenal Athletic Club defeated in their last pre -season -friendly.
“At the end they will have to earn it every day on that field, with their behavior, the quality and connection they show with the team and it is exactly what we need.
“We have never had the requirements we have this season in terms of the competition we have to play and the number of games that these guys have to play. So it is very necessary, nothing but one of the top teams in this country, nothing else.”
