Dricus du Plessis addresses size difference concerns after Khamzat Chimaev meeting was caught on camera

Dricus Du Plessis says that cameras can cheat after images of his first meeting with Khamzat Chimaev, caused a stir.

Vechtweek is well on its way for the latest pay-per-view from the UFC, because the promotion follows two withheld Apex cards with a long-awaited line-up in Chicago's United Center.

TOPPING Proceedings is the first division championship fight since Ilia Topuria last June Charles Oliveira eliminated UFC 317. Dricus du Plessis will make his third defense of the middleweight title, which he has already held by challenges of both Sean Strickland and Israel Adesanya.

To keep his belt and remain unbeaten in the UFC, du Persis must pass Khamzat Chimaev, an unbeaten phenomenon that has long been tipped to become a champion in MMA's largest stage.

And the supporters of the Chetsjense apparently received a boost when the first fight week between the couple seemed to show a considerable big advantage for the challenger.

Dricus Du Plessis rejects claims that Khamzat Chimaev is considerably aging for him

The UFC posted images of Du Plessis and Chimaev's respectful meeting online. Instead of concentrating on the nature of the interaction, most of them pointed to how 'Borz' seemed to be big on 'Stillnocks'.

For some, the video has their conviction in Chimaev's opportunities to terminate the reign of the South African champion in the 'Windy City' on August 16. But Du Plessis has warned them not to take too much out of the short clip.

“I mean, maybe it was the corner,” said Du Plessis Helen Yee about the images.

“I have not seen the video, but I can promise you – you will see, you will see.

“I stood in front of him. He is absolutely no longer than me,” Du Plessis continued. “Maybe a bit; Maybe like, half a centimeter. Yes, you will see it.

“And the other thing, I don't give it – how big he is. That's not what wins. But yes, I saw him, he is absolutely no bigger than me.”

Dricus Du Persis' Trust about beating Khamzat Chimaev is nothing new

It certainly did not need UFC 319 Fight Week to bring about the self -confidence of Du Plessis when it comes to handing over Chimaev's first defeat in sport.

Months of the Chicago PPV, after confirmation that his next challenge would come from the Chechen, Du Plessis made a promise to Chimaev. He promised to force 'Borz' in an unwanted experience that he still needs to have in mixed martial arts.

“I don't care how good you think you are, how difficult, how fit or how strong,” wrote du Plessis on Instagram.

“When you step into that octagon with me, it will be a first experience and not a pleasant one.

“That is a promise. As we say in 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 ##stillknocks #prparetoweamazed.”
