Decision made: Barcelona defender will leave next week

Barcelona is expected to take further outputs between now and the end of the summer transfer window in September, and a player who will leave Hansi Flick's team in the near future is Hector Fort.

Due to the presence of Jules Kounde and Eric Garcia, Fort's Pad to the starting right back place was blocked. And this is not a good news for Barcelona, who wants the 19-year-old to play regularly at a high level to keep his development in the right direction.

It has therefore been decided that Fort will leave for loan before the summer is over – there have been rumors that a transfer would be considered, but Barcelona is clear that they do not want to lose control of the teenager's future. And according to Sport he will make a decision about his future next week.

The La Liga opener this weekend against Mallorca will be the only competitive game of Fort as a Barcelona player this season. He will decide his next club after the trip to son Moix, and it is expected that an agreement will be reached before the end of next week.

Interestingly, Fort could stay with Son Moix, given that Mallorca is one of the clubs who would like to take him for the 2025-26 campaign. They will need a new right back when Pablo Maffeo leaves (as expected), and the La Masia graduate would be their leading target.

It is very logical for Fort to leave Barcelona on loan because he cannot afford to be without regular minutes for the next 12 months. And regularly playing for a team like Mallorca should be very beneficial for him – and it will also enable him to be a starter for Hansi film in the coming years.
