UFC 319 star reveals why he still maintains a part-time job alongside his 7-year stint in the promotion

One of the stars of UFC 319 chooses to keep another job next to an elite hunter.

August 16 is one of the largest UFC events of the year when the Octagon returns to the United Center in Chicago.

Fans and fellow hunters have plucked each aspect of the matchup of Dricus du Plessis with Khamzat Chimaev while the middleweight title fight is getting closer.

Although this collision will certainly produce a number of fascinating results, there are several other large competitions that have a good chance of producing highlights.

Geoff Neal believes that working part -time as a server helps him burn calories and stay busy with training

After he signed up at the UFC in 2017 via the Contender Series of Dana White, Geoff Neal quickly began to make a name for himself in the Welterweight Division.

'Handz or Steel' achieved victories while retaining his other task as a server, which he briefly left before he returned to it during the COVID-19 Pandemie.

Neal is clear that it is his choice to maintain this and that working two jobs is not a result of how much money he earns in the UFC.

In a recent interview with James Lynch for Home of Fight, he spoke more about this and revealed that there are other benefits in addition to the money.

Although some hunters can see a different dedication as a distraction from their UFC career, Neal believes that it helps him in some ways and responds to whether he continued this role prior to his meeting with Carlos Prates.

“Yes, I actually work tomorrow. I only did it once or twice a week. It is good money and it also helps to burn calories. It is like an active rest, walking around. It keeps me out of trouble. It is useful.”

Geoff Neal and Carlos Prates have combined seven UFC bonus profits

When Carlos Prates suffered his first UFC defeat against Ian Machado Garry in April, many fans hoped to see one matchup.

Prates was originally booked to get Geoffen Neal on UFC 314 before the fight fell through it, but the prospect of seeing them together was so exciting that it was completely logical to book.

Both men have a good track record to encourage great fights and to produce highlights in the Welterweight division, as proven by their earlier bonuses.
