Liverpool has agreed a deal to sign Parma defender Giovanni Leoni.
An agreement was reached late on Wednesday evening and the reimbursement for the 18-year-old defender is £ 26 million plus add-ons.
Leoni now has permission to travel to Liverpool to agree on personal conditions and to undergo a medical, which is expected to start on Thursday.
Liverpool abandoned the competition from Elite Italian clubs and Premier League parties, with the player his choice was a switch to the side of Arne Slot.
Leoni will also immediately participate in the first team for this season, with every suggestion of a loan movement completely excluded.
Liverpool focused on reinforcements in the middle of Ibrahima Konate, who entered Anfield in the last year of his deal.
