CESC Fabregas has insisted that there will be no 'friendly favors' for Alvaro Morata after he got on loan from Como.
The Spain captain Morata has finally completed the switch to the side of Fabregas after he acted from AC Milan and Galatasaray.
The 32-year-old has endured a frustrating 12 months after an excellent 2024 when he led the Spain team of Luis de la Fuente to the UEFA Euro 2024 title.
After that tournament success in Germany, Morata chose to leave Atletico Madrid to join AC Milan prior to the 2024/25 season, a decision that he later regretted about making.
To struggle for fame at the San Siro, he was lent to Galatasaray halfway through the season and won the Turkish title in Istanbul.
Galatasaray, however, did not count on him for the 2025/26 campaign, after he had achieved a movement to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
AC Milan and Como had agreed a deal to share its wages for the 2025/26 season with Morata who wants to keep his World Cup -Drome alive for next summer.
The situation was complicated by the conditions of his loan in Turkey, which ran until the end of 2025, and the side of Okan Buruk reportedly demanded € 8 million to release him.
While the Saga unfolded, Morata agreed to take a big cut to escape, with Galatasaray satisfied with the final deal.
Morata is now arranged, but it will be reunited friends with his old teammate Fabregas.
“I have to talk to Alvaro. First he trained with Galatasaray, not so much then; he did his own thing, but at home,” according to Diario like.
“Are we friends? No. When he left Chelsea, we didn't talk much, we just exchanged polite features. Although he was my friend at the time, he is not today. We have a great relationship, we have shared two years at Chelsea and with the national team.
“His great humility and dedication at work brings a lot with his teammates. I am not worried about our relationship. He wants to do well. He has left more than 60% of his salary in Turkey, who says a lot about his mentality and what he is going to do.”
