Khamzat Chimaev weighs in on the Jon Jones retirement saga with a message to ‘the king’

Although he has announced his retirement, Jon Jones can return to the UFC at the monumental White House event planned for next year.

A few months ago, UFC boss Dana White finally announced that Jon Jones had withdrawn from the sport after a whole saga with Tom Aspinall.

However, Jones quickly changed ideas after Donald Trump announced that the UFC will hold an event in the White House in July, and 'Bones' wants to be added.

Shortly thereafter, the former heavyweight champion announced his return to the UFC drug test pool, making his pension short.

Khamzat Chimaev weighs on Jones Retirement Saga

The coming Saturday, one of the biggest stars in the Khamzat Chimaev sport will fight for his first UFC title when he takes on Drus Du Plessis in the UFC 319 Main Event.

Chimaev was recently praised by Jones for his character, despite the fact that the Chechen had received criticism from the fans in the past because of his tendency to withdraw from fighting.

And only a few days from the biggest fight of his career to date, 'Borz' commented on the Pensioensaga in which Jones was involved and the 'goat' sent a message.

“Of course he is the goat of MMA, if someone could be the king of MMA, he is the king of MMA, he is a crazy, crazy hunter and I like to look at his fights,” Chimaev said the Jaxxon -Podcast.

“If things go bad for him, he finds somehow a victory. He is a special man, a special man in MMA. He is a legend, I am happy that he has now been finished undefeated, I hope he will never come back,” Chimaev continued.

Chimaev comments on potential Jones vs Aspinall Fight

Although 'Borz' is hopeful that Jones will continue to retire, he will remain teasing in July for the unique event.

Aspinall recently claimed that he is not interested in the idea that Jones is returning, given the entire saga that he has put him through.

“Jones could beat (Aspinall), but (Aspinall) could also beat Jon Jones. If you use Jon Jones against everyone at a young age, he will beat someone. All sorts of things are getting older.

“I am happy that the man is ready, he is a legend, unbeaten … He is a crazy talent, a crazy hard worker,” Chimaev went on.
